New Season Ministry
Mission Statement...
Our mission is to present the Bible as the sole means of understanding God's perfect
provision. We will teach clear understanding of scripture, proper navigation through
scripture, and the sharing of God's plan for salvation.
Our Mission Statement is designed to reflect the purpose of ministry in and through
New Season Ministry. It also reflects the process of ministry that is implemented
and helps NSM to be purpose driven. When identified, the mission statement will
ensure that everything we do works toward the fulfillment of our mission and purpose.
Out of our Mission Statement flows our vision statement.
Vision Statement...
Teaching...the Word of God
Preaching...the Will of God
Reaching...a Walk with God
The purpose of New Season Ministry is captured in Matthew 28:18-20
where Jesus stresses the importance of making disciples. He hints at a strategy
within the verses:
(1) making contact with people and building a relationship with
them ("go and make disciples of all nations");
(2) evangelizing them ("baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit");
(3) teaching them ("and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you"). Our mission statement reflects the process of
ministry by describing the key movements in ministry. We make
contact with people; evangelize them; and teach them.
New Season Ministry exists to nurture people as they start,
develop and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our choice of signature
scriptures (Song of Solomon 2:11; Deuteronomy 28:12; Ezekiel 34:26)
articulates our belief that the people of God must facilitate those blessings through
community.
Song of Solomon 2:11 - "for lo, the
winter is past, the rain is over and gone."
"The winter" -- of estrangement and sin is "past" to the believer (Isaiah
44:22; Jeremiah 50:20; 2Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:1).
"The rain is over and gone" -- (Hebrews 12:18-24;
1John 2:8). The promise of a new season and period of growth is now beginning for
the people of God.
Deuteronomy 28:12 - "The LORD will open to you His good treasure,
the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work
of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow."
"The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure"
--The seasonable supply of the early and latter rain was one of the principal means
by which their land was so uncommonly fruitful.
"thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow"
--that is, you shall be in such affluent circumstances, as to be capable,
out of thy superfluous wealth, to give aid to thy poorer neighbors.
Ezekiel 34:26 - "I will make them and the places
all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season;
there shall be showers of blessing."
"I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing;"
--Zion, God's hill (Psalm 2:6), and all the places in close proximity
to Zion become a source of blessing, not merely to the nation, but to all the surrounding
nations (Isaiah 56:6, 7; Zechariah 8:13).
"I will cause showers to come down in their season;" - In accord to the ancient
covenant, (Leviticus 26:4; Psalm 68:9; Malachi 3:10), fertilizing showers and productive
trees and lands (Ezekiel 34:27) prosper externally allowing God's people to be the
source of blessings.
New Season Ministry will be a transforming agent in community because we believe
God is calling us to transform the nations through His Word.

Core values are those enduring principals that New Season Ministry
[NSM] holds dear and are at the heart and core of the church’s identity. These values
strongly influence every decision made, every action taken and every dollar spent
by NSM. All ministries of NSM will be centered on reflecting these values.
● Bible-Centered Teaching – NSM values biblical
expository preaching as the sole means of equipping the people of God, therefore
the scripture is our authority. [2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Romans 4:23-24;
Deuteronomy 29:29].
● Authority of Jesus Christ – NSM values the
person and work of Jesus Christ and the Christian's submission to Him as Savior
and Lord of their lives. [Eph. 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18].
● Worship of God – NSM values the worship
of God in an effort to thank Him for who He is and what He has done. [Rev 4:11;
Ps 22:22; Ps 150;].
● Discipleship – NSM values “making disciples”
as a local and world mission command given to the church to fulfill the Great Commission.
[Matthew 28:18-20].
● Outreach – NSM values personal relationships-beyond
Sunday morning-as an essential context in which evangelism, discipleship, and leadership
development takes place. [Acts 2:46-47; Acts 5:42].
● Quality Leadership – NSM values quality
leadership as essential for quality ministry. [Titus 1:7-9].
● Excellence – NSM values excellence in ministry
because it honors God and inspires people. [1 Corinthians 3:10-15; 1 Corinthians
12].
● Church Structure – NSM values leadership
in the church as coming from the elders and daily operations belonging to the church
staff. [Exodus 3:16; Exodus 18:21; Numbers 11:16; Titus 1:5-9; Heb 13:7].
● Fervent Prayer – NSM values personal and
corporate prayer in the expectation that God answers all requests. [Matt 21:22;
Acts 2:42; 1 John 3:21-22].

“New Season Ministry” is a ministry set in
community to make a difference. It is a ministry working in community to assist
people in acknowledging and growing in their day-to-day walk with Christ. The heart
of New Season Ministry is based in the following:
Teaching…the Word of God
Preaching…the Will of God
Reaching…a Walk with God
It is our desire to move people into the perfecting “will of God.” We will do this
by challenging people to operate in the truths of God’s Word and to walk in the
destiny God created for their lives. Because we believe God has a perfect plan for
each our lives, we will assist people in moving into God’s will by presenting the
Bible as the sole means of understanding God’s perfect provision.
Our ministry is community based and will unfold through personal relationships and
through programs that focus on the spiritual, emotional, mental, social and economic
health of the community.
New Season Ministry will partner with other ministries,
churches and organizations to build a network of resources to provide community
based ministry addressing identified needs in the local community.
