New Season Ministry is a Baptist Community of Faith.  We have not yet established official ties with any Baptist convention or association, as we are presently focusing on ministry to the entire community of faith.  Our pastor brings twenty-nine years of pastoral experience to New Season Ministry and is a fully endorsed and ordained American Baptist minister. New Season Ministry will build bridges in the community to facilitate effective dialogue with all denominations as we live out our understanding of God’s Word.

	Pastor Johnson has submitted himself to the direction and leadership of Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr., of the First   Baptist Church Glenarden, Landover, Maryland.   Pastor Jenkins has been a supporter, friend, and mentor of Pastor Johnson since they met in 1977.  Pastor Johnson continues to be impacted by Pastor Jenkins' spiritual guidance, ministry experience and support.  Pastor Johnson became an official member of the First Baptist Church Glenarden in 2003 after moving to the Washington DC area.
